When you see your formal trousers in your wardrobe you probably get feelings of dread thinking about those dreading Mondays at the office, never-ending meetings and looming deadlines. Tough luck, but its time to forget about those memories with your formal trousers and start wearing them in more situations than just the office.

Style your black formal trousers with a classic white ribbed long-sleeve t-shirt and strappy heels and you are set. This is the perfect weekend outfit for a drink with friends or an afternoon coffee date. This look is not only sophisticated and makes the formal pants look much less boring, but it also can be created with things you already have in your wardrobe. 

Office Look Turns Edgy

Spice up your checkered formal trousers with a few simple adjustments. The addition of a black t-shirt and a leather jacket automatically make the trousers look cool and edgy. Adding the red lipsticks brings this look over the top and completely changes it from office-friendly to hot date ready. 

If your formal trousers don't come with a belt, don't sweat it! You can always purchase a skinny belt and use it to cinch in the waist. 

Formal with a Twist 

I am obsessed with blazers, and this just so happens to be one of the best ways to style your formal office trousers. However, it is not with a regular fitted blazer, but with an oversized blazer and oversized formal trousers. This combination just screams high fashion and distances your formal trousers from being associated with the office.

For footwear, you should also swap your office footwear for your favorite pair of sneakers and you've got the look.

Who knew formal trousers could be comfortable? Well, they can with a few simple additions. Ditch your office flats and work shirt for some chunky heels and a white turtleneck. Add a silky bomber jacket for warmth and to make the look extra casual and comfortable.

With these few simple additions, the formal trousers are transformed into a high end looking outfit that is perfect for a night out with friends.

Style your wide-leg formal trousers with a sleek one-sleeved bodysuit for a classy and sleek look that everyone will love. Chose a neutral color like white, black, or nude to keep the outfit simple. It is also a good idea to add some dainty dangly earrings to add subtle yet classic detailing to the outfit. And there you have it, you are set for a night on the town.

There is nothing better than an outfit with a twist. I love the classic matching blazer and trouser combination with a twist of the lacey lingerie bodysuit underneath. This is a formal and classy combination that appears office-ready from the back but is night on the town ready from the front. You can also take off the blazer jacket to transform this look into something a little less formal. 

There is so much you can do with your simple formal trousers. It is time we stop looking at these trousers with dread and ill-feelings and start feeling excited about all the styling options they can have!
